Senior Area Manager

Aspire Homes Australia | Newcastle & Tamworth (Northern Region) or Sydney Metro

Aspire Homes Australia is a not-for-profit, OCG-accredited provider of residential Out-of-Home Care (OOHC) across NSW. We support children and young people who've experienced significant disruption and disconnection — giving them a safe home, safe people for a genuine chance at a better future.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Area Manager to lead our care teams and drive service quality across our programs. For this role is available in our Northern Region (Newcastle & Tamworth) or Sydney Metro — tell us your preferred location when you apply.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the General Manager and leading a team of Team Leaders and House Coordinators, you'll be the operational engine behind high-quality, therapeutic care. Day to day, you'll:

- Oversee service delivery across your programs, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and frameworks

- Supervise and support Team Leaders and House Coordinators to deliver consistent, therapeutic care

- Build strong relationships with partner agencies to support positive outcomes for children and young people

- Manage referral and intake decisions, staff performance, and workforce planning across your programs

- Take a proactive approach to risk, WHS,



and quality — including maintaining accreditation against Office of the Children's Guardian standards

- Provide clear, timely reporting to the Executive team on service delivery, compliance, and risk

- Participate in the Emergency After-Hours On-Call roster

What you'll bring

- A degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field (or equivalent experience), and/or at least 5 years' experience in the NSW OOHC sector

- Proven leadership experience — you know how to build, motivate, and hold a team accountable

- A calm head under pressure and the resilience to navigate competing demands

- Solid written and verbal communication, including reporting to senior leadership

- Sound judgement for solving complex problems with limited precedent

- A genuine commitment to cultural safety and responsiveness for the children, young people, and families you'll work with
