About us
Djinda Produce is Western Australia's only 100% Aboriginal-owned fresh produce supplier. With over 10 years in the market, we supply fresh fruit and vegetables to government, corporate, and retail customers across WA and are an approved supplier under the WA Government Common Use Arrangement (CUAGRO2019). We're a close-knit, fast-moving team built on a strong track record of reliable, quality service. We’re hiring a full-time Cleaner to keep our site — including our high-care processing area — clean, hygienic, and audit-ready every day.
About the role
This isn’t office cleaning. In a fresh produce facility, cleaning is a food-safety-critical job — the work you do each day is what keeps our processing room running and our retail customer audits passed. You’ll cover the full site: high-care processing areas, warehouse and dispatch, and offices and amenities.
- Clean and sanitise the high-care processing room to schedule — food-contact surfaces, equipment, drains, floors, and coolrooms
- Follow high-care hygiene entry procedures and strict zone segregation (colour-coded equipment, controlled movement between areas)
- Clean warehouse, receival, and dispatch areas, and keep waste and external areas tidy
- Clean offices, lunchroom, and staff amenities
- Prepare and apply cleaning chemicals safely at the correct dilutions
- Complete cleaning records accurately — they form part of our food safety audit trail
- Work with our QA Coordinator on cleaning verification and re-cleans where needed
About you
- Previous commercial, industrial, or facility cleaning experience
- Thorough, methodical, and honest — you clean it properly and sign it off accurately
- Comfortable working independently, standing for long periods, lifting up to 15–20 kg, and working in chilled areas
- Experience cleaning in food manufacturing or a high-care environment is a strong plus — but we’ll train the right person
- Right to work in Australia
What’s on offer
Permanent full time work (38 hours/week) with a growing WA business, immediate start, competitive pay, and full training in our hygiene and food safety procedures. Hours run on an afternoon roster — approximately 12:00pm to 8.00pm — so your cleaning follows production, with the final roster set to deliver a 38-hour week. Some flexibility with hours will be needed while we relocate to our brand-new Canning Vale facility in September 2026.
