About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll join a team of nine skilled tradespeople (Mechanical & Electrical) responsible for maintaining a 24/7 production facility operating across multiple manufacturing lines.
You'll play a key role in improving plant reliability, minimising downtime and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical equipment
- Repair, service and maintain production machinery
- Improve preventative maintenance schedules to maximise reliability
- Assist with continuous improvement and plant upgrade projects
- Maintain high standards of workplace safety and housekeeping
- Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams
- Experience in manufacturing, processing or industrial environments
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience with preventative maintenance systems
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude
Highly Regarded
- Food manufacturing or FMCG experience
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety systems
- Experience using CMMS or other maintenance management software
