About the role

We are seeking experienced Civil Project Managers and Supervisors to join our expanding team at Carruthers Contracting. This is a full-time opportunity based in the Laidley/Ipswich region where you will play a crucial role in delivering a multi-year subdivision project. Whether you are an experienced Project Manager looking to take on strategic oversight of a major project or a Supervisor ready to manage a multi-staged project, we want to hear from you. Key responsibilities

As a Civil Project Manager or Supervisor with Carruthers Contracting, your key responsibilities will include:

- Planning, coordinating and overseeing all aspects of works from commencement through to practical completion

- Managing project budgets, timelines and resources to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within approved costs

- Liaising with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery

- Implementing and maintaining health, safety and environmental standards on site,



with a strong commitment to a zero-harm culture

- Supervising site teams and subcontractors to ensure work quality and compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements

- Monitoring project progress, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions to keep projects on track

- Preparing and maintaining accurate project documentation, reports and records

- Collaborating with engineers, superintendents, inspectors and other professionals to resolve technical and commercial issues

- Conducting site inspections and quality assurance checks to maintain high construction standards

What we're looking for

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Proven experience in civil construction project management or supervision, ideally gained on commercial or infrastructure projects

- Sound knowledge of civil engineering practices, construction methodologies and industry standards

- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders

- Demonstrated competency in budget management, cost control and resource planning

- A thorough understanding of health, safety and environmental (HSE)



requirements and a commitment to best practice safety culture

- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications

- A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to the project in the region described

- Relevant qualifications such as a Civil Engineering degree, construction management qualification or equivalent industry-recognised certifications

- Problem-solving ability and a proactive, can-do attitude
