Monaro Mix specified Concrete is a growing family-owned independent concrete company supplying the building and construction industry in and around the Canberra and Queanbeyan area.
We currently have an opportunity for a suitable person to fill the role of Agitator Truck Driver to join our team. The focus of the position is the loading and delivering of pre-mixed concrete to customer sites and maintaining the safe operation of agitator trucks.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Delivering concrete to client sites along with managing slump tolerance levels and the discharge of concrete.
- Complete basic documentation associated with the collection and delivery of the concrete.
- Ensure safety standards are maintained including daily pre-start checks on the vehicle
- General yard maintenance when required.
About you:
- A current HR drivers license with suitable driving record.
- Be a team player who is self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised, and a willingness to go the extra mile.
- Provide superior customer service.
- Be passionate about safety & environment with a robust work ethic.
- Have effective communication skills.
- Be able to perform all duties associated with the position including manual handling.
- Driver's license and own transport is essential.
- Ability to work reasonable overtime including Saturdays when required.
- Construction White Card.
- Relevant concrete industry experience will be highly regarded however full training will be provided.
