About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Psychologist to join the dynamic team at Mental Health in Mind, a leading provider of neuroaffirming psychology assessment and treatment services, located in Wallan. As a Psychologist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the mental wellbeing of our diverse client base, delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychological assessment and interventions. This is a full-time position, which may be most appealing to an early career practitioner, offering the opportunity to further develop and hone your skills and expertise, within a supportive and collaborative environment.

What you'll be doing

1. Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments to identify clients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans

2. Providing individual therapy to clients across the lifespan, with a focus on working with young children with Autism and ADHD

3. Using a range of evidence-based approaches, such as play based therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and adapted CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-based interventions

4. Collaborating with other allied health and medical professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care

5. Providing services both within the clinic and onsite at local schools, offering diversity of work and the opportunity to provide high quality, integrated psychology interventions

6. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records, while adhering to professional and organisational standards

7. Participating in regular individual and group supervision, along with professional development activities to continually enhance your skills and knowledge

8. Contributing to the development and implementation of current resources and initiatives to improve mental health outcomes for our community





What we're looking for

1. Current Psychologist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

2. Demonstrated experience in providing evidence-based psychological interventions with children, adolescents and adults (and preferably experience working with individuals with Autism and/or ADHD)

3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with clients and colleagues

4. A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in the field of psychology.

5. Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively

6. A passion for making a positive difference in the lives of neurodivergent individuals and those experiencing mental health challenges
