About The Role

We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Hospital Orderly to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis, minimum 60hrs a fortnight. Monday to Friday flexible roster, no on-call, weekends, public holidays or trauma

Duties And Responsibilities

This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.

Assist the team with admissions and discharges and preparation of patients for surgeryProvide safe transfer, handling and positioning of patients to, in and from the operating theatreAssist in cleaning and removal of waste and linenAssist with stock management and maintain awareness of cost controlEnsure equipment is available as requestedAssist the team with maintenance requirementsParticipate and collaborate in Quality activities as directedOther general duties as guided and directed

About You

You have a genuine passion for providing world-class customer service and patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:

Solid experience as an Orderly within a hospital settingExperience as a Theatre Orderly/ Theatre Technician highly desirableKnowledge and understanding of lifting, positioning and transferring techniques using available equipmentExperience in supply / stock control management and orderingExcellent customer service skillsKnowledge of infection control principlesAbility to prioritise and coordinate work to meet patient and customer needs
