- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise cost out and efficiency.
- Support managing supplier relationships and negotiate contracts if required to ensure favourable terms.
- Monitor supply chain performance and resolve any procurement-related issues.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and align with business goals.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry regulations.
- Prepare and present procurement reports to management for informed decision-making.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement and supply chain department.
A successful Procurement Specialist should have:
- Relevant experience in procurement and supply chain management within the consumer industry.
- A strong understanding of sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct market research and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A keen eye for detail and an ability to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
