Project Engineer - Electrical | KCGM Project | 2:1 FIFO

Join Zenith Energy and help deliver one of Australia's largest hybrid renewable energy projects.

Zenith is delivering a major new 532MW hybrid power system supporting Northern Star Resources' Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines (KCGM) operations near Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. The project combines 256MW of wind generation, 138MW of solar generation and a 138MW/300MWh battery energy storage system, providing reliable, lower-emission power to one of Australia's largest gold mining operations.

Description: About The Role

This is an exciting prospect to work on a technically complex, large-scale renewable energy project. As a Project Engineer - Electrical , you'll support the planning, coordination and execution of electrical construction works while collaborating with project teams and contractors to deliver safe, high-quality project outcomes.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Engineer - Electrical will be responsible for managing electrical project scopes from design through to construction and commissioning, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage electrical project scopes from concept through to completion.
- Coordinate electrical design activities with consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Oversee the installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with Australian standards, project specifications and safety requirements.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications and project documentation.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets and progress to achieve key milestones.
- Work closely with civil,



mechanical and construction teams to successfully deliver project outcomes.
- Identify project risks and implement practical engineering solutions.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years' experience delivering electrical engineering projects within construction, mining, utilities or renewable energy.
- Experience managing electrical packages through design, procurement, construction and commissioning.
- Strong understanding of electrical design principles and Australian Standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple work fronts.
- Construction White Card.
- Senior First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
