About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contract Administrator to join West Coast Civil and play a key role in the successful commercial delivery of civil construction projects.
You will be responsible for administering contracts, managing project costs, coordinating subcontractors,
and supporting the commercial and contractual requirements of projects from award through to completion.
You will work closely with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual obligations, budgets, and program requirements.
This is a hands-on role suited to a commercially minded professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced project environment and wants to contribute to the continued growth and success of West Coast Civil.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer head contracts and subcontract agreements.
- Manage variations, claims, EOTs, RFIs and contractual correspondence.
- Prepare, assess and process subcontractor progress claims and payment schedules.
- Assist with project cost management, forecasting and budget tracking.
- Monitor project commitments and maintain commercial reporting systems.
- Coordinate subcontract procurement and supplier engagement.
- Maintain project documentation, registers and contract records.
- Prepare commercial reports and support monthly project reviews.
- Identify contractual and commercial risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, consultants and project stakeholders.
- Support Project Managers with project delivery, commercial management and contract administration.
- Assist with project close-out,
final accounts and contractual obligations.
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a Contract Administrator, Project Coordinator, Project Engineer or similar role within civil construction, mining, infrastructure or construction.
- Sound understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
- Experience managing variations, claims, subcontractor agreements and project reporting.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to identify risks and opportunities.
- Professional, proactive and team-oriented approach.
