Southern Grain Pty Limited (trading as Southern Stockfeeds) is an Australian owned and operated company. In addition to our feed milling operations, we warehouse and distribute grains and meals from our storage site in Bridgewater. We trade and manage logistics for grains, meals and various other products throughout Victoria, NSW and Tasmania.

About the role

We are seeking energetic and mature individuals to assist in the efficient day-to-day operations of our grain warehousing / distribution site at Bridgewater on Loddon, Victoria. The role on offer is as follows:

Grain Receival & Outloading

- Safely direct truck traffic, operate drive-over hoppers and manage grain flow into silos, sheds and bunker storage.

Quality and Sampling

- Conduct primary grain sampling, assist with basic quality testing and support weighbridge processes to ensure classification accuracy.

Site Maintenance & Hygiene

- Maintain facility hygiene standards by sweeping, shoveling and blowing down dust accumulation in work zones.





Bunker Management

- Assist in covering and securing bunker-stored grain using heavy-duty tarpaulins.

Equipment Operation

- Safely operate site machinery, including tractors, augers, conveyors, front-end loaders and shifting equipment.

Safety & Compliance

- Strictly adhere to workplace health and safety (WHS) guidelines, hazard management protocols and site safety procedures.

Certifications and Tickets highly desirable

- Confined space

- Working at Heights

- Loader Licence

- First Aid

Employer requirements

- Be available to work casually as required on a roster system

- Be an Australian citizen or hold a valid work visa and provide proof of your right to work, and

- Be capable and willing to work in an outdoor and shift work workplace.

Own transportation and a current Victorian driver's licence is preferred.
