The Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Workforce Planner to join our Airport Operations team.
Reporting to the Security Services Manager, this role is responsible for workforce planning and day-of-operations deployment activities, ensuring Adelaide Airport maintains compliant, efficient and appropriately resourced security screening operations. The Workforce Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time to meet operational demand, regulatory requirements and customer service expectations.
Working closely with operational leaders, security providers and key stakeholders, you will develop workforce plans, optimise rosters, analyse operational performance and provide recommendations that support service delivery, compliance and cost efficiency.
This role is ideally suited to an experienced workforce planning professional with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in workforce planning, rostering, scheduling or operational resource planning, who enjoys working with data, solving complex operational challenges and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and continuously optimise workforce plans to ensure appropriate resourcing levels are maintained across security screening operations.
- Monitor workforce requirements to balance operational demand, compliance obligations, customer experience and cost efficiency.
- Support day-of-operations planning by providing deployment plans and resourcing instructions to operational teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure workforce plans align with operational priorities and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor passenger throughput, queue times, workforce performance and operational KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Analyse workforce and operational data to support decision-making, forecasting and reporting.
- Maintain accurate workforce records and data integrity across relevant systems.
- Support investigations, operational reviews and customer complaints by providing workforce insights and operational analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on workforce optimisation, operational efficiency and customer outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience
We're looking for a highly organised and analytical workforce planning professional who can confidently manage workforce deployment, forecasting and operational performance in a fast-paced environment.
Essential
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in workforce planning, rostering, scheduling, resource planning or a similar operational planning role
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing workforce plans in a complex operational environment
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to identify trends and provide practical recommendations
- Experience managing workforce data, reporting and system governance
- Demonstrated experience engaging and influencing a broad range of stakeholders.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Current Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) or the ability to obtain one upon commencement.
Desirable
- Aviation Security (AVSEC) experience.
- Experience operating within the aviation industry.
- Understanding of the Aviation Transport Security Act 2004 and Regulations 2005.
- Experience working within a 24/7 operational environment
- Certificate II in Transport Security Protection.
- Experience using workforce management, rostering or forecasting systems
