Summary

Red Arrow Australia are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Supervisor for our Tier 1 client to lead the protected and efficient commissioning and energisation of electrical systems across a major iron ore mining project.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and manage commissioning schedules aligned with construction milestones.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and HSE teams to ensure readiness and safe execution.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, and commissioning procedures for accuracy and completeness.
- Lead and mentor commissioning technicians, electricians, and subcontractors.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical guidance and resolve commissioning issues.
- Oversee installation verification, pre-commissioning checks, and functional testing of HV/LV systems, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and control panels.
- Witness and validate test results to ensure compliance with design and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve faults to ensure systems are safe and operational.
- Ensure commissioning activities comply with HSE policies, electrical safety standards, and permit-to-work systems.
- Prepare commissioning reports, test certificates, and handover documentation.
- Maintain records of system status and commissioning progress.
- Report risks, delays, and technical issues to project management.
- Verify installations meet design intent and Australian standards (e.g., AS/NZS 3000).

Qualifications & Experience





- Electrical Trade Certificate or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- WA Electrical License
- HV Switching Ticket (desirable).
- Minimum 10 years' experience in electrical commissioning, ideally in iron ore or heavy industrial projects.
- Prior experience in FIFO roles and remote site operations.
- Valid driver's licence

If you are successful for this position you will need to provide a current national police clearance and pass a medical.
