Building Certifier | Permanent Full-Time | Yeppoon, QLD

We're seeking an experienced Building Certifier to assess development applications, conduct building inspections and provide expert advice to ensure compliance with Queensland legislation and the National Construction Code.

About the Role:
In this permanent opportunity, you'll be responsible for:

- Assessing and determining building development applications.
- Conducting inspections throughout all stages of construction.
- Undertaking swimming pool safety and building compliance inspections.
- Providing technical advice to internal stakeholders, industry and the community.
- Preparing reports, compliance notices and certification documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with the Building Act, Queensland Development Code and associated legislation.
- Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.

To be successful, you'll have:

- A Bachelor of Building Surveying and Certification or Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying.
- QBCC Building Certifier accreditation (minimum Level 3)



or the ability to obtain it.
- Eligibility for membership with the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors.
- Strong knowledge of Queensland building legislation, the National Construction Code and relevant Australian Standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A current driver's licence and White Card.
