AMRRIC is looking for a friendly, organised and dependable Office Coordinator to help keep our Darwin office, systems and day-to-day administration running smoothly.
This is a varied, part-time role for an experienced administrator who enjoys helping people, keeping things organised and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
The 30.4 hours are worked across Monday to Friday, with daily start and finish times agreed with the successful candidate between 8:30am and 4:30pm.
About AMRRIC
Animal Management in Rural and Remote Indigenous Communities (AMRRIC) is a national not-for-profit organisation based on Larrakia Land in Darwin.
We work in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to improve the health and wellbeing of companion animals, people and communities. Guided by a One Health approach, our work includes veterinary programs, education and training, research and advocacy.
You will join a small, committed team where your work directly supports meaningful outcomes across rural and remote communities.
What you’ll do
Your week will include a practical mix of front-of-house, office coordination, systems support and administration. You will:
• welcome visitors and respond to telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries;
• monitor shared inboxes and direct enquiries to the right person;
• coordinate office supplies, amenities, facilities, maintenance and routine supplier arrangements;
• organise approved travel, accommodation, meetings, planning days and internal events;
• provide practical Microsoft 365 support and coordinate requests with our external IT provider;
• maintain equipment, corporate asset and user-access records;
• support onboarding, offboarding, induction, training and recruitment administration;
• assist with routine purchase orders and expense reimbursements;
• maintain registers, templates, shared resources and controlled documents; and
• prepare routine correspondence and meeting materials, record minutes or notes and follow up action items as directed.
What you’ll bring
You will bring:
• at least two years’ experience in office administration, front-of-house or business support;
• strong customer service and written and verbal communication skills;
• confidence managing competing priorities, meeting deadlines and following tasks through;
• sound practical experience across Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, together with experience using Planner or the confidence to learn it quickly;
• experience maintaining databases, registers, records and well-presented documents;
• experience coordinating meetings, events, travel or other organisational logistics;
• strong attention to detail and respect for confidential information;
• a collaborative, practical and helpful approach; and
• a Certificate III in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience supporting IT requests, onboarding, recruitment, training, employee records or routine financial administration will be well regarded.
Essential requirements
You must:
• be an Australian citizen or permanent resident;
• hold a current Australian driver’s licence; and
• be available to work 30.4 hours across Monday to Friday from AMRRIC’s Darwin office.
