Your new company
My client a State Government department, is seeking an experienced Communications Advisor to join their team on a temporary basis. Working within a fast-paced environment, you will play a key role supporting strategic priorities through the delivery of high-quality communications, stakeholder engagement and content development activities.

Your new role
The Communications Advisor is responsible for providing effective communications planning and services in partnership with a broad range of stakeholders. This role will have a strong focus on developing and delivering communication plans, producing engaging content across multiple channels, and supporting the successful delivery of events, campaigns and engagement activities.

You will prepare a variety of communications materials including website content, EDMs, social media content, speeches, presentations, briefing materials and stakeholder communications. Working across several concurrent projects, you will support event planning and delivery, coordinate communications activities and ensure messaging is tailored to diverse audiences.

Possessing a highly collaborative approach and a strong focus on stakeholder relationships, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, translating complex information into explicit and engaging communications while delivering positive outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed

- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing communication strategies and plans
- Exceptional written communication skills with experience creating content across multiple channels
- Proven ability to build effective relationships and provide trusted communications advice




- Experience supporting projects, campaigns and stakeholder engagement activities
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Experience coordinating events and engagement activities
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, journalism or a related discipline
- Immediately available to commence and commit to the duration of the contract
- The successful candidate will need to be willing to have Hays run a paid NPC
