As our clinic continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team and help deliver an exceptional experience for our patients, practitioners and referrers.

Full time hours are available for the right candidate.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our clinic, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive a professional, welcoming and efficient experience from their first interaction with Elyséa HEALTH.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing patient bookings and appointment scheduling

• Greeting and assisting patients in a professional and compassionate manner

• Answering telephone and email enquiries

• Processing payments and private billing transactions

• Managing referrals, incoming correspondence and medical records

• Assisting psychiatrists, psychologists and GPs with administrative support

• Liaising with patients, referrers, hospitals and other healthcare providers

• Maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy at all times

• Supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy multidisciplinary clinic

• Contributing to a positive, organised and patient-focused environment

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working in a medical reception or healthcare administration role

• Strong working knowledge of Best Practice Software (essential)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills





• Skilled presentation and a friendly, approachable manner

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a busy environment

• High level of professionalism, discretion and reliability

• Strong computer literacy and confidence using practice management systems

• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service

Highly Regarded

• Experience working within General Practice, Psychiatry, Psychology or Specialist Medical Clinics

• Experience with Medicare, private billing and health fund claiming

• Experience managing referrals and specialist correspondence

• Understanding of medical terminology

• Experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting
