Demand Fulfillment Planner

A well-established and growing supply chain operation is seeking a Demand Fulfillment Planner to align demand forecasts with production supply and drive fulfillment performance. This is a excellent opportunity for an experienced planner who wants to influence both the strategic and operational sides of supply chain.
The Role
Reporting to the National Demand Planning Manager, you will align sales order demand with production supply by managing demand forecasts, allocating inventory, and setting shipment priorities and dates. Working closely with sales, production planning, logistics and warehouse teams, you'll proactively manage supply-demand risk and drive continuous improvement in inventory and fulfillment performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the allocation of production supply and inventory to sales order demand
- Determine daily shipment priorities and establish planned shipment dates for customer orders
- Develop and continuously improve demand forecasts across short, medium and long-term horizons
- Align sales order demand with production plans to optimise service levels and operational efficiency
- Identify demand and supply imbalances and drive resolution plans with relevant stakeholders
- Monitor inventory levels and drive action on unsold, unallocated,
slow-moving and aged stock
- Establish and maintain material stocking policies and communicate replenishment requirements to procurement
- Analyse forecast accuracy, inventory performance and fulfillment metrics to identify improvement opportunities
- Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP;) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes through demand and supply analysis and reporting
About You
- Demonstrated experience managing operational demand fulfillment
- Strong understanding of shipping and warehouse operations and constraints
- Demonstrated experience in complex demand and supply planning across long and short-term horizons
- Understanding of production or manufacturing environments and associated constraints
- Experience working closely with sales teams
- Strong stakeholder management, analytical and process skills
