About the role
The role of Operational Officer is to provide efficient and effective operational support services by performing a range of routine tasks including environmental cleaning, patient handling, porterage and waste management following established standards and procedures.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- An understanding and comittment to maintaining client, visitor and facility confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Ability to problem solve, use initiative, work independently and manage workloads by prioritising tasks appropriately.
- Ability to perform duties in cleaning, waste, foood service and linen services with a minimum of supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to acquire knowledge of hygiene standards, infection control practices, food safety standards, workplace health and safety, total quality management, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination practices and behaviour as applied in the working environment.
- Sound communication skills with ability to effectively liase with staff, clients and visitors.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
