Lead civil utilities operations across Victorian electrical distribution networks.
TSA is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the delivery of our civil utilities field operations.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager – Utilities, this senior operational role will oversee the planning, execution and continuous improvement of civil construction works across Victorian electrical distribution networks and AS3000 projects.
Working closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors and field teams, you will maintain oversight of safety, project performance, workforce capacity, financial outcomes, quality and client commitments across the Utilities division.
The role
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the day-to-day operations of the Civil Utilities division.
- Overseeing safety, project delivery, budgets, resources and client commitments.
- Coordinating labour, plant, materials and subcontractors across multiple projects.
- Monitoring project performance, productivity, variations, risks and margins.
- Working closely with Project Managers from preconstruction through to handover.
- Leading workforce planning, recruitment, performance, training and succession.
- Developing the capability of supervisors, team leaders and field crews.
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, network authorities and other stakeholders.
- Contributing operational expertise to tenders, mobilisation and commercial discussions.
- Driving improvements in systems, reporting, quality and service delivery.
Safety, quality and environment
You will lead and promote a proactive safety, environmental and quality culture.
About you
You will bring:
- Robust civil construction and utilities experience, including operational leadership.
- Strong knowledge of underground electrical infrastructure, reinstatement, NDD and civil utilities delivery.
- Experience leading supervisors and field crews across multiple projects.
- Demonstrated capability in workforce planning, project controls, budgets and commercial performance.
- Strong knowledge of QHSE, contractual and network compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A current White Card and relevant VESI accreditation.
Other relevant field tickets will be highly regarded.
