About the Organisation
Palm Lake Care is one of Queensland's leading privately owned residential aged care providers, operating seven residential communities and with several new developments underway. With an unwavering focus on resident wellbeing, Palm Lake Care has built a reputation for delivering high-quality, person-centred care in welcoming communities where residents are treated with dignity, respect and compassion.

As the aged care sector continues to evolve, Palm Lake Care continues to invest in its clinical leadership, quality systems and organisational capability to ensure it remains well positioned for the future. As a privately owned organisation, it offers an environment where relationships matter, decisions can be made efficiently and leaders are empowered to make a genuine impact.
An opportunity now exists to appoint an Executive Manager - Clinical Governance, Quality & Risk to lead these functions while shaping the next phase of its clinical and operational journey.

About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and forming part of the senior leadership team, this is a broad leadership role with responsibility for clinical governance, quality, risk and compliance across Palm Lake Care's residential aged care portfolio.

The organisation has invested significantly in strengthening its clinical and quality frameworks in response to an evolving regulatory setting. With those foundations established, the focus is now on embedding consistency across services, developing capability within the clinical leadership team and creating a sustainable approach to governance, quality and continuous improvement.

This is far more than a compliance-focused position. Success will come through visible leadership, collaboration and influence. Working closely with operational leaders and clinical teams, you will foster a culture of accountability, support and continuous improvement while ensuring residents continue to receive safe, high-quality care. You will also contribute to strategic initiatives including future growth, service commissioning and the evolution of clinical systems and governance practices.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing strong clinical leadership and stewardship across governance, quality, risk and compliance.
- Driving consistency and standardisation of clinical practice across all residential aged care communities.
- Leading quality improvement initiatives and supporting accreditation and regulatory compliance.
- Building capability within the clinical leadership team through coaching, mentoring and leadership development.
- Partnering closely with operational and corporate leaders to foster a collaborative, one-team culture.
- Supporting strategic initiatives including future service commissioning and clinical systems enhancement.
- Maintaining a visible presence across communities to build relationships, support leaders and understand operational challenges.

About You

You are an experienced clinical leader who understands that exceptional governance and stewardship is achieved through capable people, strong relationships and practical leadership, not simply policies and compliance.

You have demonstrated success leading clinical governance, quality and accreditation within residential aged care or a comparable healthcare workplace and are comfortable leading organisations through periods of change while maintaining a strong focus on quality outcomes.

Equally important is your leadership style. You are collaborative, authentic and pragmatic, with the ability to build trust, develop people and bring teams together around a shared purpose. You enjoy being present within the business, partnering with operational leaders and empowering others to succeed. Calm under pressure and commercially aware, you know how to balance governance requirements with the practical realities of service delivery.

Why Join Palm Lake Care?
This is a rare opportunity to join a respected Queensland aged care provider at an important point in its journey. You will play a pivotal role in shaping clinical governance, quality and leadership capability across the organisation while making a meaningful contribution to the care and wellbeing of residents for years to come.
