The Digital Health Change and Improvement Officer supports the safe, effective, and sustainable adoption of digital solutions across Children’s Health Queensland. The role is responsible for driving engagement by working closing with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement, supporting workflow integration, managing change initiatives, providing training and support, and ensuring digital solutions enhance patient care, service efficiency, and user experience. By combining project coordination, change management, and continuous improvement practices, the Digital Health Change and Improvement Officer ensures that digital health solutions maximise benefits while supporting staff through transformation and innovation.
About the Team
CHQ's Data, Analytics and Custom Solutions (DACS) team provide support services to Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service, across four streams: Data Services, Custom Solutions, Data Warehousing and Reporting and Analytics. The team work to collaboratively to produce digital solutions which enable improvement and innovation across the organisation and empower staff members to transform their services and improve consumer engagement
About the Role
In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:
- Lead and support the implementation of digital health initiatives, systems and technology-enabled service improvements.
- Engage with clinical, operational,
and technical stakeholders to facilitate effective change management and user adoption.
- Analyse current processes and workflows to identify opportunities for digital transformation and service enhancement
- Develop and deliver structured, role-specific training programs including the production and maintenance of training materials and support guides for new digital health solutions with consideration to CHQ workflows and scenarios.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure digital solutions align with clinical, operational and organisational objectives.
- Ensure digital health initiatives comply with relevant policies, standards, privacy requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Provide expert advice and support for planning and implementation of Digital solutions, including readiness, implementation support and optimisation activities.
- Promote ethical and responsible AI use in the healthcare context, ensuring AI tools are used in accordance with clinical safety standards and organisational policies.
- Provide expertise and support to track adoption metrics and outcomes and analyse user feedback and performance data to proactively identify trends, issues, risks and improvement opportunities.
- Monitor and assess the impact of digital health solution changes and improvements ensuring advantages are maximised while also communicating and mitigating any risks associated with feature updates.
- Contribute to identification and development of new Digital Health technology use cases, including analysis of clinical and administrative problems using structured business analysis techniques to identify high-value opportunities for digital solution support and or integration.
- Develop and maintain scalable adoption frameworks (e.g. Artificial Intelligence) for future initiatives and technologies
