AIM Mining Corporation is an emerging gold development company with major growth plans underway. We currently operate the Warrawoona Gold Project in the East Pilbara region of Western Australia and are continuing to expand operations at our Nullagine site.
As we move through an exciting growth phase, we are seeking experienced and motivated Light Vehicle Mechanics to join our Maintenance team at Nullagine.
This role is responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance, servicing, repair and inspection of light vehicles and ancillary equipment that support our mining operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining fleet reliability, ensuring safe work practices, and supporting operational performance across site.
We are offering either an 8:6 or 15:13 FIFO roster from Perth, aligned with existing back-to-back roster arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform servicing, maintenance and repairs on site light vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications and site requirements
- Diagnose and rectify faults across a range of light vehicles and support equipment
- Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimise equipment downtime
- Conduct inspections and condition assessments of vehicles and mobile equipment
- Maintain and repair ancillary assets including forklifts, lighting towers and generators
- Complete scheduled maintenance activities in a timely and efficient manner
- Identify potential defects and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site procedures, statutory requirements and relevant Australian Standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports and work order documentation
- Work closely with maintenance and operational personnel to achieve maintenance targets
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency
- Promote a positive safety culture through hazard identification,
risk management and compliance with company procedures and legislative requirements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Trade qualification as a Light Vehicle Mechanic
- Demonstrated experience working within mining, civil, heavy industry or remote operational environments
- Proven experience maintaining and repairing forklifts, lighting towers and generators
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance activities
- Sound knowledge of diesel and petrol-powered equipment
- Strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental compliance
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Current unrestricted Driver's Licence
- Ability to obtain a Valid National Police Clearance (NPC)
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience working within gold mining or remote-site operations
- HR Driver's Licence
- Forklift Licence
- Working at Heights certification
- Air Conditioning (ARC) Licence
- Experience with Toyota LandCruiser fleets and mine-spec light vehicles
- Experience with maintenance management systems such as SAP, Pronto or similar CMMS platforms
- Basic electrical fault-finding experience
- Familiarity with site compliance and fleet management requirements
