Your role at St John of God Richmond Hospital

St John of God Richmond Hospital is a private psychiatric hospital located in North Richmond, NSW, providing comprehensive and holistic mental health care services in a serene and tranquil setting

We are seeking applications from suitably qualified Pharmacists to join our team on a casual basis.

The Pharmacist plays a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-focused pharmacy services that promote the safe and effective use of medicines. Working as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, the Pharmacist provides clinical pharmacy support, medication management and professional advice to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to excellence in healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication reconciliation, review and monitoring. Review medication charts and make recommendations to support safe and effective medication use. Dispense medications in accordance with legislative, professional and organisational requirements. Provide medication counselling and education to patients and their carers. Deliver medicines information and advice to medical, nursing and allied health staff. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes. Participate in medication safety and quality improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and pharmacy records. Participate in continuing professional development and education activities. Contribute to the efficient operation of the Pharmacy Department and undertake other duties as required within scope of practice.

You will be a qualified Pharmacist with current registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA)



and a willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care. You will possess well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated time management, organisational and attention-to-detail skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritise work effectively in a busy clinical environment.

We can offer you

Casual hourly rate from $47.49 to $68.78 inclusive of casual loading. We offer a range of salary packaging options tailored to your employment status such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses – up to $18,550 as a permanent employee and a percentage of your earnings as a casual.
