About the Role
Based in our workshop with regular onsite installation work, this hands-on role is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, installation and modification of custom stainless-steel handrails and associated products for residential customers.
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor and working as part of a supportive team, you will deliver high-quality workmanship while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and in line with TADWA's quality standards. Every project you complete will help improve the safety, accessibility and independence of our customers.
Key Responsibilities
· Fabricate custom stainless-steel handrails and associated products.
· Perform TIG welding and stainless-steel fabrication to a high standard.
· Install handrails and fabricated products at customer homes and other sites.
· Complete onsite welding, fabrication and modifications where required.
· Read and interpret fabrication drawings, job sheets and measurements.
· Assemble fabricated components ready for transport and installation.
· Maintain accurate job progress and updates within the project management system.
· Work closely with Scheduling Assistants to ensure jobs progress efficiently.
· Assist with stock control and advise the Storeperson and Workshop Supervisor of material requirements.
· Collaborate with fabricators, installers and office staff to deliver projects on time and to a consistently high standard.
· Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop and work environment.
About You
You are an experienced fabricator who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys problem-solving and works well both independently and as part of a team.
To be successful, you'll have:
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade.
- Minimum five years' experience in stainless steel fabrication.
- Demonstrated experience fabricating and installing stainless steel products.
- High-quality TIG welding skills.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and technical measurements.
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one.
