Our integrated workshop combines advanced Laser Cladding, Twin Wire Arc Spray (TWAS), Welding, Precision CNC Machining, Fabrication and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to deliver complete surface engineering and component repair solutions to the mining industry.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced First Class CNC Machinists to join our team.
We have opportunities for experienced operators across a range of CNC equipment, including:
- CNC Lathes
- CNC Milling Machines
- CNC Vertical Borers (VTL)
- CNC Horizontal Borers
- CNC Cylindrical Grinders
- CNC Radial Grinders
Working as part of a skilled multidisciplinary team, you'll machine large, high-value mining and industrial components through various stages of the repair process. Every job is different, providing challenging, rewarding work in a modern workshop equipped with industry-leading technology.
About the Role
As a First Class CNC Machinist, you will play a key role in the repair and reclamation of heavy mining and industrial components. Working within a modern engineering workshop, you will be responsible for setting,
operating and programming CNC machine tools to produce precision-machined components that meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
You will work closely with our Laser Cladding, TWAS, Welding, Fabrication and NDT teams as part of an integrated repair process, ensuring components are machined to specification and delivered safely, efficiently and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate and program CNC machine tools.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Machine large mining and industrial components to close tolerances.
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
- Maintain a strong commitment to quality, safety and housekeeping.
- Work collaboratively with other trades and departments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and workshop efficiency.
Skills & Experience
- Trade Qualified First Class Machinist.
- Experience operating CNC machine tools.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with heavy mining or industrial components will be highly regarded.
- Forklift, Overhead Crane, Dogging or Rigging tickets are advantageous but not essential.
