Reporting to the Resource Recovery Team Leader, this position will provide leadership to the Containers for Change team and excellent customer service to members of the public. The team is responsible for the collection, sorting and counting of eligible beverage containers.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate the City of Fremantle’s Containers for Change (CFC) depot and commercial collection services

- Actively engage with stakeholders to provide advice, support, and commercial opportunities for Containers for Change

- Collect and record data on depot operations, commercial businesses, financial transactions and develop opportunities to increase the number of eligible containers recycled.

- Schedule collections and deliveries, and data entry of collections, run times and volumes.

- Productive and reliable collection of bins from all businesses, schools and charities using the commercial collection service.

- Sort and count eligible containers into material types safely, accurately and efficiently.

To be considered for this position, you will need





- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Excellent administration and computer skills (including Microsoft Office suite)

- Excellent time management and organisational skills

- High level of fitness, an ability to lift over 5kg and sustain prolonged periods of standing

- Experience in leading a small team

- C Class Driver’s License

- Forklift Licence

- CPR Course

- First Aid

- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
