Hilton is bringing a new level of luxury to Far North Queensland with the opening of Hilton Palm Cove Resort & Spa—and we're looking for an exceptional Stores Supervisor to lead the hotel's inventory, receiving and stores operations from day one.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Palm Cove, just north of Cairns, this tropical destination combines world-class hospitality with relaxed coastal luxury. As Stores Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring our kitchens, restaurants, bars and operational teams have the right products, in the right place, at the right time.
About the Role
As Stores Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the resort's stores and receiving function, managing inventory accuracy, stock control, supplier deliveries, reporting and compliance across food, beverage and general stores.
This role requires a highly organised and detail-focused person who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and enjoys building strong relationships across departments and with suppliers.
You will:
- Lead all receiving, storage, issuing and inventory control processes across the resort.
- Ensure accurate stock management, reporting and inventory integrity.
- Partner with Culinary, Food & Beverage, Finance and Purchasing teams to support operational success.
- Drive efficient stock control practices that minimise waste, shrinkage and inventory loss.
- Maintain exceptional standards of food safety, workplace safety, hygiene and compliance.
- Lead and develop a high-performing stores team that delivers excellence every day.
What You'll Bring
Inventory & Operational Excellence
- Strong experience in inventory control,
warehousing, purchasing or hospitality operations.
- Demonstrated success managing stocktakes, inventory systems and reporting processes.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and process compliance.
- Strong understanding of receiving, stock rotation and storage best practices relating to perishable goods.
Financial & Systems Acumen
- Experience managing inventory transactions, reporting and reconciliation processes.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to investigate stock variances.
- Sound computer skills including Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Commitment to workplace health and safety, food safety and operational compliance.
- Strong understanding of safe manual handling and inventory security requirements.
- Passion for maintaining clean, organised and efficient work environments.
