We are partnering with an established passenger transport operator to appoint an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join their workshop team in Kyneton.

About The Role

This is an opportunity for a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join a professional workshop environment responsible for maintaining a reliable and safe heavy vehicle fleet.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure maximum fleet availability and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance, servicing, inspections, and repairs on heavy vehiclesDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, braking, suspension, drivetrain, cooling,



and engine systemsComplete fault finding using diagnostic equipment and specialised toolsMaintain accurate job records and documentationConduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with WHS requirementsSupport breakdown repairs and general workshop activitiesMaintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and reliability

About You To be successful, you will have:

Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Heavy Vehicle) or equivalentExperience working on heavy vehicles, buses, trucks, or fleet equipmentStrong diagnostic and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvementCurrent driver’s licence (heavy vehicle licence highly regarded)
