QUALIFIED HAIRDRESSER – WE WANT YOU!!We are a successful Hairdresser / Barber situated in Broome, Western Australia.We are Broome’s first natural organic Hair and Beauty Salon.We urgently seek the services or a qualified and experienced Hairdresser to join our energetic team.The position on offer is full time and permanent.$63, 000 + Super / Full Time (38 hrs per week) based on experience and earning capacityTransportation /Accommodation allowance
COMPETENCIES REQUIREDJob DescriptionShape, style, colour, straighten and style hair for events and functionsTasks· Client consultation, discuss clients wishes, needs and requirements· Educate client on hair care needs· Shampoo, conditioning and rinse hair· Shape ladies, men’s & children’s hair using different styling tools and techniques· For men’s hair care services include beard and moustache trim· Provide hair care services such as a deep conditioning, straightening, pre-lightening andcolouring, colour correction· Style the hair with the aid of a blow dryer & various types of brushes, curling irons ofdifferent sizes, rollers, hooded dryers,
hot rollers and other types of equipment· Selling retail products· Additional duties will include cleaning and appointment booking· At days end, clean the salon, work station and equipment· Providing educated advice on hair care, and hair styling· Shampooing hair and conditioning scalps· Colour and chemical straightening· Use scissors, clippers and razors to cut and style hair· Hair extensions· Shaving and trimming beards and moustaches· Cleaning work areas and sanitising instruments· Arranging appointments and collecting payments
QUALIFICATIONSMust be a qualified Hairdresser with a CERT III and CERT IV or overseas equivalent. Must have at least 2 years of working experience as a Qualified Hairdresser.
