We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse operations and drive a high-performing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has exceptional organisation skills, and is passionate about operational excellence, inventory accuracy and customer service. This role is based in our ACT Warehouse and reports to the Regional Warehouse Manager.
As our Warehouse Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring safety, efficiency, accuracy and continuous improvement across all functions. You will be responsible for leading a small warehouse team while maintaining high standards in inventory control, dispatch, receiving and overall warehouse performance.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead, mentor and develop a small warehouse team to achieve outstanding performance.
· Oversee all inbound and outbound warehouse operations.
· Maintain exceptional inventory accuracy through effective stock management and cycle counting.
· Manage receiving, put-away, picking, packing and dispatch operations.
· Ensure all customer orders are completed accurately and delivered on time.
· Monitor warehouse productivity and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
· Enforce workplace health and safety standards and maintain a safe working environment.
· Develop and implement warehouse procedures and best practices.
· Manage staff performance, training and development.
· Coordinate and transport scheduling and liaise with freight providers.
· Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
· Maintain warehouse presentation and housekeeping to a high standard.
· Work closely with management to achieve operational KPIs and business objectives.
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess:
· Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Supervisor leading a team.
· Solid leadership skills with ability to motivate, coach and develop employees.
· Demonstrated experience managing inventory and maintaining high stock accuracy.
· Excellent organisational and time management skills.
· Ability to prioritise workloads and work under pressure.
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
· High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Strong computer literacy and confidence using warehouse management systems.
· Experience using SAP (highly desirable).
· Current forklift licence (essential).
· MR Truck Licence (highly advantageous)
· Current driver’s licence.
· A proactive, hands-on approach with a positive attitude.
