About the RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic Education Support Officer (ESO) to join our Nursing Healthcare team at our Armidale campus. In this student-focused role, you will work closely with Teachers to support the delivery of high-quality vocational education and enhance the student learning experience. This position supports both Armidale and Inverell campuses therefore travel to Inverell campus will be required for this role.
As an ESO at TAFE NSW, you will provide targeted learning support to help students understand course content, build skills, and stay engaged. You will assist learners across face-to-face, online,
and blended environments, supporting their confidence and capability.
NOTE: This role does not teach or prepare lessons or resources and does not deliver training, nor undertake assessment.
About YouYou are supportive and proactive with a passion for helping others succeed. You are tech-savvy with experience using Microsoft TEAMS and enjoying working as part of a dynamic team. With a background in nursing, you can clearly explain concepts to learners from diverse backgrounds.If you meet the following Selection Criteria we would love to hear from you:Diploma (or above) of Nursing, with a current AHPRA registration.Ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.High-level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be proactive and show initiative and ability to explain ideas in a clear and concise manner.Commitment and ability to support learning in an adult environment and a demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage students.Ability to establish effective working relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and to provide quality customer service as part of a broader team.Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.
