Position: CNC Operator & Fabricator
Location: Lonsdale, SA

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate multiple CNC machines in accordance with job specifications and production schedules

- Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files

- Complete light fabrication and component fit-out work as required

- Load and unload materials, ensuring correct positioning and secure clamping

- Select and install appropriate tooling, bits, and fixtures for each job

- Monitor machine operation during production to ensure quality and consistency

- Perform routine quality checks on finished parts

- Carry out routine machine maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and tool changes

- Identify and report machine faults or abnormalities

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in line with WHS/OHS requirements

- Work collaboratively with the wider manufacturing team to meet delivery targets

- Use hand tools and power tools

- Assist with the preparation and modification of jigs, fixtures, and templates to support fabrication tasks

- Apply surface finishing techniques such as sanding, trimming, and edge treatment to finalise parts

- Assist with general workshop duties

- Undertake training, potentially interstate

Skills & Experience





- Previous experience operating CNC routing or similar CNC machinery

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

- Basic understanding and ability to create and edit CAD files

- Hands-on experience with hand tools and light fabrication tasks

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Sheet metal or switchboard fabrication experience

Required

- Valid Driver’s Licence

- Construction Induction (White Card)

- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing
