About the role

Perth Property Improver is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Trade Assistant to join our growing team in Perth. This is a casual position based in Perth WA 6000, offering flexibility in days and the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the trades and services industry. As a Trade Assistant, you will work alongside skilled tradespeople, supporting them on various property improvement projects throughout Perth. This role is essential to our operations, ensuring that projects run smoothly and safely whilst maintaining our high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

1. Assisting qualified tradespeople on residential property improvement projects, including maintenance, repairs and installations, plastering, roofing, concreting,paving, bathrooms, kitchens, demolition, fencing, ect.

2. Preparing work sites by gathering tools, materials and equipment needed for daily tasks

3. Maintaining a clean and organised work workplace, including site cleanup and waste management

4. To think on your feet, this is not a basic laboring position

5. Being able to speak politely to clients

6. Following health and safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment at all times

7. Running errands and collecting supplies as required

8. Assisting with basic material handling and preparation tasks

9. Communicating effectively with team members to ensure projects progress efficiently

What we're looking for

1. A positive attitude and a long-term interest in the industry.

2. Most work is North of the river so living North is beneficial.

3. Required 3 - 5 Days a week,



flexible days & hours depending on the work requirements.

4. Previous experience in renovations,a Trade Assistant or in a similar laboring role.

5. A strong willingness to learn and develop practical skills in the trades. We offer a variety of trade exposure, roof carpentry, landscaping, painting, concrete work, tiling, framing, plastering, demolition ect.

6. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards

7. Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour duties regularly

8. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

9. Reliability and punctuality, its appreciated if you turn up when arranged, 10 mins early is on time.

10. Current driving license and access to reliable transport is essential

11. Your own ABN is preferred.

12. Most days will be different; we cover a range of trades so a willingness to learn multiple trades is essential.
