Speech Pathologist
Ready to Do Work That Actually Matters? Come Grow With Us.
Whether you’re an experienced clinician looking for your next meaningful challenge, or an early-career Speech Pathologist ready to develop your skills in a genuinely supportive environment. We would love to hear from you!
About Us
South Australia Speech and Hearing Centre (SASHC) provides speech pathology, audiology and counselling services to children and adults across greater Adelaide, with clinics in Cumberland Park and Mawson Lakes. We are passionate about delivering the best, affordable care and about building a team that loves what they do.
We work alongside medical experts, counsellors and allied health professionals, and offer ASD diagnostic services and an Allied Health Assistant (AHA) intervention service to further support our families.
About the Role
We are seeking a Speech Pathologist to join our growing multidisciplinary team in Mawson Lakes. While our clinic is open 5 days a week, clinicians work 4 days per week (7:50am–6:10pm) as a full-time equivalent. This means, you get a built-in weekday off every week. We’re also very happy to support part-time arrangements if that’s what works best for you.
More experienced clinicians will find genuine opportunities to lead, mentor and shape the direction of our services. Those earlier in their career will be well-supported with structured mentoring, clinical supervision and a team who genuinely invests in your growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct paediatric speech and language assessments and deliver evidence-based intervention.
• Assess,
implement and review delegated intervention plans in collaboration with other clinicians and Allied Health Assistants.
• Administer school, kindergarten or childcare-based screeners, with possible future opportunity for rural/remote outreach.
• Facilitate group sessions with the support of junior clinicians.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and direction of our clinical services.
• Senior clinicians will have the opportunity to mentor and support junior team members.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
✅ Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology and is a current practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
✅ Is passionate about evidence-based, creative service delivery.
✅ Communicates with clarity and warmth with clients, families and colleagues alike.
✅ Manages their time well and adapts confidently in a busy, evolving environment.
✅ Believes in a true multidisciplinary approach to intervention and diagnosis.
✅ Holds a current driver’s licence and reliable transport.
✅ Holds mandatory working with children certifications (or is willing to obtain them).
We’re open to candidates at all stages of their career.
What matters most is your commitment to great clinical practice and your passion for making a real difference.
Why Join Us?
• Be part of a dynamic, close-knit and forward-looking clinic with a genuine culture of care.
• Access real career development, including a pathway to senior and leadership roles for the right candidate.
• Be supported by our clinical lead Speech Pathologist and a network of internal and external mentors.
• Enjoy flexibility to plan your therapy calendar with dedicated admin time and full administrative support.
• Participate in regular professional development sessions during school term holidays, plus an annual paid PD package.
• Have your voice heard, we actively welcome input from all team members on the future direction of our services.
• Work alongside leaders in medicine and allied health in a true interdisciplinary environment.
• Unlimited cuddles with our adorable office pup, Teddy!
