Our client is a construction head contractor and as a result of continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Foreman to join their team to work on a $150m+ medium-rise residential project amongst others.
The candidate will ideally have some experience working on head contractor side on 8+ storey medium rise residential projects in the Gold Coast / Brisbane / Sunshine Coast market with local knowledge. They will also look at candidates without local experience too ideally looking with medium rise residential experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Site Supervision & Trade CoordinationSupervising and coordinating subcontractors and site labourPlanning daily works and ensuring tasks are completed to programManaging site activities to maintain productivity and workflowCoordinating deliveries, materials and plant on siteQuality, Safety & ComplianceEnsuring all works are delivered to required quality standardsEnforcing WHS policies, procedures and safe work practicesConducting toolbox talks,



safety inspections and pre-startsIdentifying and resolving site issues in a proactive mannerProgram & Reporting SupportAssisting with short-term programming and look-ahead schedulesReporting progress, issues and delays to the Site ManagerSupporting defect management and quality inspectionsAssisting with project milestones through to completion
Qualifications and Requirements:Trade background preferredProven experience as a Supervisor/Foreman on residential and/or mixed-use projectsStrong understanding of construction sequencing and site operationsAbility to lead, motivate and manage subcontractors effectivelySolid knowledge of Australian building standards and WHS requirementsStrong communication and problem-solving skillsHands-on, organised and outcomes-focused approachQueensland construction experience ideal
