We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our growing team.

You will be required to work on complex technical issues along with corporate tax advice, detailed research and all issues relating to client tax and accounting services, indirect taxes, corporate and international tax related matters.

Job Overview

This role will involve applying accounting principles and procedures to analyse financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.





Tasks include:

- Prepare and lodge individual, partnership, trust, and company tax returns in compliance with ATO legislation.

- Prepare general and special purpose financial statements according to Australian Accounting Standards (AAS).

- Prepare and review Business Activity Statements (BAS) and ensure accurate reporting for various business structures.

- Maintain detailed work papers and documentation on practice management software to ensure compliance and audit readiness.

- Conduct technical tax research on corporate, international, GST, FBT, CGT, and Div7A matters and prepare written client advice.

- Liaise with the ATO, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve tax queries and compliance issues.

- Provide accounting and taxation support to senior accountants, managers, and partners on business services matters.

- Deliver internal technical training sessions to team members on accounting and tax updates.

- Advise clients on complex tax planning strategies and financial reporting matters, applying professional judgment and analytical skills





Our ideal Candidate is one that is an experienced Accountant progressing with your CA ANZ program and looking for more technical challenges across our fantastic client base; AND wanting great training and full support from our highly experienced senior team.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance or similar

- At least 1 year of relevant experience

- Strong technical skills including experience with Div7A issues, FBT, CGT, Companies, Trusts and Partnerships

- Research skills including being able to prepare written advice to clients

- Developing financial analytical and client management skills

- Strong problem solving, communication and analytical thinking skills

- CA ANZ qualification - or working towards them.

- Have a strong work ethic and enjoy working hard as part of a great team.
