Experienced Diesel Mechanic

Due to continued growth, Jamieson Sales & Service is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our busy workshop team. This is a permanent full time opportunity working primarily on new trucks and trailers, with the chance to be part of a well established and supportive business.

This role is Monday to Friday, with rostered Saturday mornings and overtime opportunities available.

About the Role

As part of our workshop team, you will:

- Service, diagnose and repair new trucks and trailers

- Carry out preventative maintenance and inspections

- Complete minor and major mechanical repairs to a high standard

- Perform quality inspections on completed vehicles to ensure they meet our high standards before delivery

- Use diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults

- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment

- Work collaboratively with a skilled team to deliver quality workmanship and exceptional customer service

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Trade qualifications as a Diesel Mechanic

- Solid diagnostic and fault finding skills

- Experience servicing and repairing heavy vehicles and trailers

- Experience with BES, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems

- A commitment to producing high quality work

- The ability to work independently and as part of a team

- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and reliable attendance

- A current driver's licence (HR/HC licence advantageous but not essential)
