Support at Home and NDIS, adults. Full time or part time, with supervision built around how you actually work
Kindly Healthcare is an allied health team working across Adelaide and surrounds. We’re OTs and physios doing in home and community work with adults, and we’re growing.
We’re looking for an OT with a bit of experience behind them, roughly one to three years, who wants a caseload they can get their teeth into and a team that has their back.
Why you’ll love it here
Our work is built around three things.
Community. Team events, ongoing education, and plenty of chances to get involved in the communities we work in. Local workshops, fundraisers, networking nights. You'll be part of something bigger than your caseload.
Support. We ask how you like to be supported during induction, then set ourselves up to deliver it. A weekly catch up in person, a fortnightly sit down, a quick phone call when something comes up. We'll always start you with something regular, you just tell us what regular looks like. And you'll have senior clinicians who know your goals, not only your caseload.
Growth. We’re growing quickly and we want you to grow with us. Build your clinical depth, take on leadership, or broaden your skillset. We’ll help you get there.
What’s in it for you
- Autonomy and impact. We trust you to bring your expertise and your ideas. Make a real difference for your clients while helping us build something good.
- Work life balance that actually works. Full time or part time, school hours, a nine day fortnight, a compressed week. Tell us what you need and we’ll sort it out. Once you’re up and running you get even more say over how your week looks, more on that below.
- Travel allowance.
You'll be on the road, so we pay an allowance on top of your salary.
- Market-competitive salary and perks. $90,000 to $110,000 depending on experience, a professional development allowance, and the resources you need to do the job properly.
- A share of what you bring in. Once you’re settled, you earn a percentage of the charge rate on work you bill above your target. More on how that works below.
- Tech and tools. We keep things streamlined with our systems for documentation and scheduling, and provide top tier equipment.
- Kindly swag. We do great work and we want to feel great whilst we do it. A bunch of uniform options and enough swag to save you that mid week wash.
- Look after your own body too. We're part of the same group as PhysioXtra, so you get free Pilates, subsidised physio, and discount codes with a few fitness brands. Easy to forget your own health when you spend all day on everyone else's.
The bit about targets
Most allied health jobs have billable targets and most ads don't mention them. We'd rather say it now.
You won't have one for your first couple of months. After that we'll work one out with you, based on your salary and your caseload. It'll be lower than you're used to.
Then it's yours to run. Bill above it and you take a share of the charge rate. Or treat it as your whole week and build your life around it. Pilates on a Tuesday,
a half day on Friday, school pick up every afternoon. Up to you.
What you’ll be doing
- Working with adults across Support at Home and NDIS, delivering occupational therapy in their homes and in the community.
- Functional Capacity Assessments. A solid part of the caseload, and you will have the team and the templates behind you to do them well.
- Assistive technology assessment and prescription, from everyday equipment through to complex.
- Home modifications, from simple rails and ramps through to more involved builds.
- Home safety assessments and falls prevention.
- SDA and SIL assessments.
- Ongoing therapy and capacity building, where you get to see progress over time rather than handing over after one visit.
- Writing therapy plans that put clients in the driver’s seat of their own health and independence.
- Working alongside our physios and the rest of the allied health team.
What we’re looking for
- AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist.
- Around one to three years of experience. If you’re a little under that and keen, still get in touch.
- An interest in Support at Home and NDIS work. If you’re newer to either, we’ll get you up to speed.
- A good communicator who likes building relationships, with clients, families and providers.
- Someone who solves problems rather than just flagging them.
- A current driver licence and a reliable car. We’re mobile and out on the road.
