About Us
A private not for profit entity, Neerim Health is situated in the township of Neerim South, 15 minutes north of Warragul and 80 minutes east of Melbourne. As a registered hospital and aged care provider, we value Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence. In 2027 we celebrate 100 years since inception as a bush nursing hospital. We are currently undergoing major renovations to create a new Neerim Health Hub to complement our existing hospital facility and operating theatre.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Director of Clinical Services (DCS) to join our team, and help guide the expansion and diversity of our healthcare services.
Reporting to the CEO and Board, the DCS is responsible for clinical governance, accreditation, regulatory compliance, the provision of quality person centred care and contributes to the development of our service offering.
This opportunity suits a confident and experienced clinical leader who enjoys being hands-on.
The role includes oversight of our perioperative theatre, which specialises in Ophthalmology and Dental Surgery, and operates from Monday to Friday between 0800 and 1700. We are licensed for up to 18 beds (recovery/ward).
About You
Mandatory
- You are a Registered Nurse and hold current AHPRA registration in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
- At least five years experience in a similar clinical role.
- Previous perioperative experience.
- You have extensive experience in NSQHS Accreditation Standards, Infection Control, Clinical Risk Management,
Incident Response and a demonstrated commitment to Continuous Improvement.
- Your interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills are exemplary. You have experience working autonomously as well as leading teams to meet the requirements of consumers and stakeholders.
- You hold a current Driver's Licence.
Desirable
- Post-graduate diploma in perioperative nursing or similar, and post graduate management qualifications.
- Experience in health service development and expansion.
- ALS Level 1.
