We are seeking a Machine Operator, to join our team at our Sydney manufacturing plant in the Windsor/Wilberforce area.
Job tasks and responsibilities
This is a permanent full-time position.
Training will be provided.
A current forklift license (LF) is essential.
Able to lift 15kgs and up.
Operate, monitor and adjust machinery to achieve safe and efficient production outcomes.
Troubleshoot faults and respond to operational issues to minimise downtime.
Skills and experience
The successful candidate must have:
- Experience as a Machine Operator - desirable but not essential.
- Forklift license (LF) - essential
- Basic computer skills - essential
- Able to lift 15kgs and up
- Use of communication devices such as citizens band radio (CB radio).
- A strong work ethic and a solid work history.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Mechanically orientated with an ability to work unsupervised.
- Safety and Quality Focused and able to follow policies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated with a "can-do" attitude.
- Whilst experience in the Pet Food Industry is desirable, it is not essential.
- Australian citizenship is required for this position.
Candidates should be well presented and have a good command of both written and spoken English.
The successful candidate will be required to work in our plant area and carry out duties and tasks as assigned by the Production Manager. "On the job training" and team support will be provided.
