Occupational Therapist | Experienced Clinician | Neurological and Complex Physical

Location: Geelong OR regional Victoria

Salary: $90,000 to $110,000 pro rata, plus superannuation, based on experience

Why this role exists

Most occupational therapy roles are built around volume, ours is built around the work. We support adults living with neurological and complex physical conditions, including stroke, acquired brain injury, Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis, and that is work which asks for reasoning that cannot be rushed, assessment that cannot be shortcut, and a clinician who has the capacity to be genuinely present with the person in front of them.

That capacity does not happen by accident, it has to be built into the role, so we have built it in.

What we do differently

Caseload size is a clinical decision here, not a financial one, so your caseload is one that lets you think clearly about every client on it. We understand what it feels like to be stretched across too many clients with too little time, and we have deliberately structured the practice so you do not have to work that way.

Reasoning and report writing sit inside your working hours, because documentation, clinical thinking and reflection are part of the job rather than something you carry into your evenings.

Your autonomy matches your experience, which means genuine clinical independence alongside structured supervision and senior support that is there when you want it, rather than oversight you have outgrown.

We are a team that actually talks about clients, with case discussion, peer review and shared problem solving built into how we work.

There is also room to grow in whatever direction suits you, whether that is leadership, education or advanced clinical work as the practice develops.

Occupationally Neuro is a Geelong-based practice working with adults living with neurological and complex physical conditions across the Barwon region, providing hands-on,



in-home therapy focused on what genuinely matters to the people we work with.

Our reputation has grown through word of mouth, with families, support coordinators and other clinicians coming to us because we go deep, we communicate clearly, and we care about doing the work properly.

We are deliberately small, and that is a choice rather than a stage we are hoping to grow out of, because it lets us hold a standard of clinical care that becomes harder to protect as practices scale.

The work

- Client-centred, community and home-based occupational therapy with adults living with neurological and complex physical conditions

- Functional and cognitive assessment

- Cognitive rehabilitation and goal-directed intervention planning

- Assistive technology, home modification and environmental solutions that support safety and independence at home

- Report writing across NDIS, TAC, Support at Home, WorkSafe Victoria and private funding

- Close collaboration with families, support coordinators and other providers

- Contributing to a team culture where learning and support run both ways

Who this role suits

This is not a graduate position, we are looking for a clinician with experience behind them.

Essential

- Bachelor or Master of Occupational Therapy, with current AHPRA registration and no limitations or conditions

- Minimum two years post-graduate clinical experience

- Community-based practice experience

- Experience working with adults with neurological or complex physical conditions

- Working knowledge of at least one of the NDIS, TAC or WorkSafe Victoria funding streams

- Sound clinical reasoning and the ability to manage a caseload independently





- Current Victorian driver licence and access to a reliable vehicle

- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Police Check, or a willingness to obtain them

Highly regarded

- Experience across more than one funding stream

- Functional capacity assessment experience

- Complex home modification or assistive technology experience

- An interest in mentoring less experienced clinicians
