About the position:
The Manager Reliability Engineering position is responsible for leading a team providing expert reliability support for the locomotive fleet performance and associated industry product lines across Australia. Accountable for developing and providing product and service reliability management strategy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the team to ensure successful delivery
- Locomotive and Product Reliability management for supported fleets and facilities
- Able to deliver monthly reliability packages for all fleets under contract.
- Reliability Growth models in conjunction with the broader engineering team
- Assist with and mentor engineering staff on Root cause analysis and failure reporting
- Develop Strategies and Recommendations to improve fleet reliability and maintenance effectiveness
- Development of modifications and product improvements to deliver reliability growth
- Maintenance and development of Technical Maintenance Plans for locomotive fleets
About you:
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar position leading a team of engineers
- Implementation of reliability programs in a rolling stock, asset management or heavy maintenance industry
- Tertiary qualification in relevant engineering field preferred.
- CPENG and/or REPEQ would be highly regarded
- Qualifications in reliability management and continuous improvement/quality (six sigma, TQM, lean, agile).
- Project or Systems Engineering knowledge a benefit
- Team player, a self-starter with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work under pressure & achieve work deadlines
