About the role:

The Project Officer works as a member of the Improvement branch with responsibility for supporting the delivery of targeted improvement projects aligned to the strategic objectives of the Improvement Branch and aimed at improving the safety and quality of healthcare in Victoria.

Working in a fast-paced environment and in partnership with clinicians, consumers and other members of the project team, the project officer applies highly developed communication, project management and administrative skills to ensure the professional delivery of SCV improvement projects.

The role reports to the Manager, Team 2 and will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support delivery of the Improvement Branch initiatives, as well as supporting the branch to deliver against the SCV Corporate Plan and strategic objectives.

About you:

- There are no mandatory qualifications for this role, however, a tertiary qualification or equivalent qualified experience in fields related to health administration, medicine, nursing, paramedic, pharmacy, public health or allied health would be desirable.
- Previous project experience and a sound understanding of the Victorian health system and knowledge of the department and its operating processes and information systems is desirable.
