An exciting opportunity exists to join the Corporate Services Division in the Information Technology Unit for an ongoing full-time position.

An exciting opportunity exists to join the Corporate Services Division in the Information Technology Unit for an ongoing full time position.

- Salary: $81,496 - $96,073 (Plus Superannuation of 12%)

- Usual hours of work: Full time (flexible work conditions may be available)
- Usual work location: East Melbourne/Coburg

Role Purpose

The Technology Officer supports the delivery of information technology, providing technical assistance, tailored guidance, and innovative solutions. Collaborating with diverse stakeholders, the incumbent ensures seamless technology adoption, conducts user training, and delivers responsive timely IT support. The purpose of this role is to provide first and second level technical infrastructure support, assist staff in the area of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and resolve technical problems reported through the incident management system.

The role is also expected to:

- Answer Service Desk calls and emails, register incidents and attend to their resolution, or escalate were appropriate
- Assist with ICT asset registration and tracking
- Install and commission new laptop hardware, printers,



peripherals including desktop and mobile telephony
- Provide technical support for end user technology, including desktop, laptop, mobile, remote access, print/scan/copy, audio video teleconferencing and standard software
- Maintain user network access
- Produce documentation for reports, briefings, correspondence, technical and user documentation
- Support both business locations, Melbourne CBD and Coburg, (including occasional after hours and weekends during peak periods), remotely and on site, as part of a regular rotation process.

In addition, the role is expected to perform one or more of the following duties as agreed (minimum 1):

- 1st level Security Operations Centre including security incident reporting and escalations.
- Project management of routine & ad-hoc VCAA projects such as NAPLAN / GAT / VCE marking support or end user hardware replacements.
- Software license, vendor management, and procurement activities for low-medium complexity vendor relationships and contracts.
- Evaluation of new technologies and their application to VCAA for low-medium complexity requirements, including development of guidance materials for newly adopted technologies

Qualifications and Experience

Desirable: Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology
