Based approximately 85km north-east of Clermont and around 100km from Moranbah, this long-established family farming business operates approximately 45,000 acres, with around 20,000 acres under dryland cropping. Known as a respected employer within the agricultural industry, the business continues to invest in sustainable growth while adapting to the changing demands of modern broadacre farming.
Reporting to the Farm Manager and working closely with the harvest team, this seasonal role would suit someone with practical mechanical ability who enjoys being outdoors, thinking on their feet and helping keep machinery and harvest logistics moving. Commencing for the 2026 harvest season,
you'll spend much of your time stationed at the mother bin, supporting harvest operations wherever required.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Provide hands-on maintenance support during harvest while assisting with truck loading, logistics and moving the mother bin as required.
- Work closely with the harvest crew to identify and resolve minor mechanical issues, helping minimise downtime throughout the season.
Selection Criteria:
- Practical mechanical and maintenance knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and complete basic repairs independently.
- Positive initiative, common sense and a willingness to work as part of a busy harvest team in a fast-paced environment.
