Are you methodical, detail-oriented, and ready to get your hands dirty? We are looking for a reliable Process / Laboratory Technician to join our Technical Services team in Pinkenba. This is a role where your team fit, attitude, and attention to detail matter much more than having extensive laboratory experience. We provide 100% on-the-job training!

This position is a permanent full-time replacement role starting as soon as possible.

The Day-to-Day (What You'll Do)

You will rotate across different stations in the facility, processing roughly 80 samples per day. This is an active, physical, and fast-paced role where you will be standing all day. It is a dusty, industrial setting—not a clean lab!

- Station Rotation: Move daily between washing, weighing, and sample splitting stations.

- Data & Detail: Perform number-matching and recording tasks to ensure samples are correctly tracked and documented.

- Heavy Liquid Separation (LST): Step up to more technical tasks in a heat-controlled environment, working with fine minerals, pressure pumps, and troubleshooting minor mechanical errors.

- Physical Work: Load and push trolleys carrying up to 20 samples at a time. Lift sample bags weighing between 2.5kg and 5kg.





What We Are Looking For

We are specifically looking for someone who thrives in a process-driven environment. If you are methodical, can strictly follow step-by-step procedures, and don't mind getting your hands dirty, you will fit right in.

- Qualifications: No formal qualifications required, however previous Lab or Technician experience would be welcome.

- Safety First: Must be comfortable standing and working in high-vis, steel-cap boots, and around dust-extraction systems.

- Skills: Excellent attention to detail and basic computer/Microsoft Office skills.

- Core Values: Strong teamwork skills, a positive attitude, and basic problem-solving abilities.
