Are you passionate about Mental Health, and want to make a difference in the lives of consumers, and have a positive impact in the wheatbelt community?
As an Allied Health Professional, you’ll be supporting Medicare Mental Health service consumers, and working alongside your colleagues on the team which include clinical psychology, other allied health professionals and lived experience peer workers.
About the role
- You will provide support services to consumers of the Medicare Mental Health service in accordance with the service model.
- You will undertake health screening and health monitoring activities
- You will provide clinical interventions for consumers impacted by mental ill health including evidence based therapeutic interventions.
- You will manage a case load of consumers, delivering excellent clinical service typically between 8-10 sessions per consumer.
- You will form part of a growing, diverse, and passionate team who are making a difference in the community.
- You will Maintain accurate consumer records, activity data and required system entries to support reporting, compliance and program evaluation requirements.
This is a part-time position of 30 hours per week. The role is based at our Northam office, with travel allowances available for applicants who reside outside of the Wheatbelt region.
About you
- You hold a relevant Tertiary allied health qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing or other applicable Allied Health profession including full registration with AHPRA or relevant board.
- You have a minimum of 2 years experience working with individuals experiencing mental health distress, suicide risk and/or AOD comorbidity.
- You have excellent organisation and interpersonal skills.
- You have a strong understanding of culturally secure practice when working with Aboriginal people, ACCOs and regional communities.
- You have an understanding of client assessment, care coordination, and support
- You hold or can obtain a current National Police Clearance
