The RoleWe are looking for an enthusiastic Automation Test Engineer with automated end-to-end testing experience. Ideally with experience in Javascript, Cypress and/or Playwright
You will be a subject matter expert in all aspects of quality assurance and testing delivering testing outcomes and supporting multiple projects across various platforms. To be successful in this role, you will have tested across the web and mobile primarily using javascript. You would have either been part of a small team or have experience working on your own to deliver outcomes.
You'll inherit existing test suites that need auditing prior to combining and expanding,working with our current tester to create a singular automated testing suite we can rely on for every commit. Expect to spend your first month learning the system and working out which tests earn their place and which ones we've been quietly ignoring the failures on.
Some of what you'll automate is awkward, TOTP-protected logins,identity and verification providers you can't hammer on every run, and test data for entity structures that don't fit a simple structure. If you've solved these before, say so in your application, it's more interesting to us than years of experience.




You'll use AI tooling heavily to write and maintain tests and you'll be sceptical about what it produces. We care that the tests catch real defects, not that the coverage number looks good.
Integrate the test suite to run in CI on every PR. You'll be responsible for keeping them fast and trustworthy.
We test identity verification and compliance workflows. Getting it wrong has regulatory consequences, not just downtime.
Please note the location is onsite a minimum of 3 days a week and candidates should consider how comfortable they are with commuting to our office in Perth. We do have flexible working arrangements.While candidates who are interested in relocating can be considered , we do not provide relocation packages and a prepared plan will need to be provided.

Required skills:3+ years in the QA spaceComfortable with AI-assisted test generation and honest about its failure modes; Running suites in CI (GitHub Actions or similar)Test plan building, scriptwriting and robust QA processExperience in regression, performance and functional testingExperience in automation tooling (Cypress and/or Playwright preferred)UAT TestingSIT Testing
Desirable skills: Experience in the identity verification and/or compliance spacesPrevious exposure to web services testing using SoapUI or PostmanExposure to working in a fast-paced, agile workplace ISTQB Foundation level certifiedMultilingualExperience working with Verification of Identity Platforms
