The opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administration Officer to join the North Queensland Day Surgical Centre team. In this frontline role, you’ll be responsible for supporting daily clinic operations, managing appointments, and providing an exceptional experience for patients, doctors, and visitors.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working in a role that combines administration, coordination, and patient service.

In this role, you will:

- Provide friendly and professional reception services, including greeting patients and managing incoming enquiries.
- Schedule and manage patient appointments in accordance with clinic protocols.
- Accurately maintain patient records and documentation.
- Coordinate communication between patients, doctors, and clinical staff.
- Assist in general administrative duties that support the smooth running of the clinic.

About you

We’re looking for a reliable and organised team player with a warm, customer-first approach.

You will also bring:

- Previous experience in a medical or health-related administration role (preferred).
- Strong computer literacy, including familiarity with patient management systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain professionalism in a busy setting.
- A team mindset and commitment to upholding patient privacy and clinic standards.
